Key verses: Revelation 1:5b-7
Context: Revelation 1:4-8
“To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all tribes of the earth will wail on account of him. Even so. Amen.” – Revelation 1:5b-7
A while back I took a poll to see how many of my followers found it hard to believe that God loves them, specifically—that He takes the time to love each of us individually. 100% of those who responded said that they did. I can totally understand that. The God who moves BIG (see Acts 2, 4) loves the littlest sinner. The same powerful God who raised His Son from the dead (Rom 8:11) loves you and empowers you to this day.
He is making a Kingdom of priests from every tribe, tongue, and nation. God doesn’t separate based on race or nationality when it comes to His salvation grace and His love. If we are to be imitators of God (Eph 5:1), then we also must make no distinction between ourselves besides knowing who still needs saving and who needs discipleship.
It is not our goal to see race. Our goal is not to uplift another race at the expense of another, or cause issues or tensions. Rather, our calling is to love and disciple ALL NATIONS, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Spirit, and the Son, teaching them in the ways of Jesus. That is our call, until He comes on the clouds to cast a final judgement.
