Acts of the Exodus

Title Change 7/16/2021: Title used to read, “Acts.”

“By faith the people crossed the Red Sea as on dry land, but the Egyptians, when they attempted to do the same, were drowned. By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days.” – Hebrews 11:29-30

Admirable Qualities of the People’s Faith:

  • They did great things led by strong faith in God.
  • Their persistent faith moved, shook and tumbled walls.

I think the power of faith in Him is self explanatory. What are you doing to harness that strength?

“‘Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.’” – Matthew 7:7-8

“Oh, hero of Heaven, You conquer the grave / You free every captive and break every chain / Oh God, You have done great things / We dance in Your freedom, awake and alive /Oh Jesus, our Savior, Your name lifted high / Oh God, You have done great things” – Phil Wickham, Great Things

“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting…” – James 1:5-6a

“‘Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be taken up and thrown into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.’” – Mark 11:23

“For it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.” – Philippians 2:13

“For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.” – 2 Samuel 22:33 (NIV)
